Elsa has magical powers that allow her to create objects out of ice and snow and to freeze the things around her. The day she accidentally injures her sister Anna while playing, their parents ask her to contain her emotions and never reveal her powers to anyone. When they pass away, Elsa becomes heir to the throne. On the day of her coronation, news shared by her sister overwhelms her, and she unintentionally exposes her magic to the gathered crowd. Branded a witch, the new queen flees into the mountains. Anna then sets out to find her, hoping to convince her to return to the kingdom.
