In Textopolis, the world of emojis, everyone is supposed to have only one emotion. Gene was born into a family of “Mehs,” so he’s expected to wear a permanently indifferent expression. But he feels multiple emotions at once and struggles to express just one. When his first experience inside the phone goes wrong, he escapes the texting app and teams up with a hacker who tries to reprogram him so he can get another chance to prove his worth. But the journey won’t be easy, as robots who see him as a glitch are hot on his trail.
